West Hartford's first annual WHEEL FUN DAY on May 19 promises to be fantastic. Spend a Sunday morning riding down Main Street between Bishops Corner and West Hartford Center with a police escort; watching a bicycle acrobatic perform behind the Town Hall; eating bagels and other foods provided by Whole Foods and bagel shops at the two business centers; joining a six-town ride at the end of the event with a group of other locals who want to celebrate the joys of taking back the streets for bicycling and other pedestrian-friendly movement. We admit it's all still in the planning stage, but we have more than 20 volunteers working hard to make Wheel Fun Day happen for West Hartford! Be part of it! (Mary Collins: penmary@aol.com)
